Our diverse programming combines to create empowering educational environments for adults-in-transition as well as at-risk youth. The mission of the National Center for Arts and Technology (NCAT) is to assist communities nationally and internationally to replicate the Manchester Bidwell Education Model. The model is designed to combat poverty by improving academic achievement among youth, and providing career training opportunities for adults who are unemployed or underemployed.

Building on three decades of success replicating the Bidwell Training Center and Manchester Craftsmen39s Guild models NCAT has evolved into a trusted national convener that brings together diverse stakeholders to strengthen the community foundations. We facilitate meaningful dialogue between and among Rural and urban community residents K12 and higher education institutions business and employers and local State and Federal policymakers. Through consultative partnerships NCAT helps build lasting trust between community members and their supporting institutions fostering a sustainable strategy that leads to positive change.
