Her passion for serving others earned her a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. Vernessa’s career began as an outreach specialist for QCI Behavioral Health, going out into the community to connect people to the behavioral services they needed. Over the years her drive, natural leadership, and commitment to helping people enabled her to be a case manager as well as therapist before settling into program administration and leadership.
