CIS of Atlanta mobilizes community resources to help kids succeed and graduate. When kids' needs are met, they are free to learn and teachers are free to teach. Communities In Schools of Atlanta’s mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We facilitate and champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help students successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children’s unmet needs, we provide the link between educators and the community. CIS Atlanta partners with 65 schools in Atlanta, including Clayton, Dekalb, and Fulton County Schools.
