The specific purpose for which the Foundation is organized is to operate as a supporting organization exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, and to carry out the purposes of Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc., a fully qualified 501(c)(3), Section 509(a)(1) organization, formed to offer health and human services to residents of San Luis Obispo County and North Santa Barbara County, to educate and encourage such communities to act on their own behalf for the expansion of community based health and human services, and to search for effective approaches for addressing local health, the need for low cost health care services, and social problems.
