"The Joplin Trails Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and maintaining multi-use trails in Joplin, Missouri region, and working with local governments to create and enhance a safe network of cycling and pedestrian trails and paths. We currently manage two trails: the Frisco Greenway Trail that runs through Joplin and Webb City, and the Ruby Jack Trail that goes west from Carthage, MO through Oronogo, Carl Junction, and on to the Kansas state Line. Both of these trails are Rails To Trails projects, former rail lines converted to multi-use trails. The trails are created and maintained via the hard work of many volunteers and generous donations from individuals and businesses throughout the community.
