THE MISSION OF INTERACTION TRANSITION IS TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY SAFETY BY FACILITATING A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION BY FORMERLY INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS, FROM LIFE IN PRISON TO LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY. I/T HELPS ITS PARTICIPANTS MEET CERTAIN CRITICAL BASIC NEEDS, SUCH AS EMPLOYMENT. THE PROGRAM GREATLY REDUCES THE RISK THAT PARTICIPANTS WILL RESUME CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, INCREASES SAFETY WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, AND ADVANCES SUCCESSFUL REINTEGRATION WITH FELLOW COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

Our Mission Transition From Prison To Community Who we are Over the past few years Interaction Transition has made many changes. After over 30 years of providing residential housing support to those transitioning back into the community IT no longer has residential services and is focusing on an Employment Assistance Program. Our Employment Assistance Programstarted years ago at our transition house and fulfills the vital need of getting formerly incarcerated individuals quickly employed postrelease. Employment is significantly related to successful reentry.
