Welcome to the Independence Area Dollars For Scholars Page Independence Area Dollars for Scholars is a locally operated and supported nonprofit taxexempt scholarship foundation in Independence Iowa. Operated by a volunteer Board of Directors the purpose of Dollars for Scholars is to expand access to higher education by involving and assisting the community to support local students. The Independence Area Dollars for Scholars chapter is an affiliate of Scholarship America a nationally recognized nonprofit student aid service organization. Our Vision To encourage postsecondary education attendance for all Independence area students through strong Dollars for Scholars support.
