Northwest Chinese Alliance Northwest Chinese Alliance 2024 Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade For the 2024 Grand Floral Parade we performed a dance Elephant Kings March with a team of 40 dancers including our regular dance troupe and the Jade Dance Team members. The Elephant Kings March embodies Buddhist nobility and the powerful sounds of the great dharma trumpet represented by the music symbolizes the Kings roar. The chosen instruments the pipa with its crisp clarity the evocative flute the touching erhu and the elegant zither each contribute to a multilayered musical tapestry that brings the performance to life. The Northwest Chinese Alliance is very honored to be returning for our 12th entry at the Portland Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade and very much appreciate the recognition by the Portland Rose Festival.
