Synopsis After 40 years of teaching in Rome an elementary school teacher gets assigned to a school made up of a single class with children aged 7 to 10 in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park. Thanks to the help of the vice principal and the children he overcomes his metropolitan inadequacy and becomes one of them. However when everything seems to be going well the news arrives that the school will close due to lack of enrolments.
