MCKINNEY STEAM ACADEMY provides STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education for children aged 8 to 18 in the northern suburbs of the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.
The purpose of the corporation is to:
Foster educational growth and empowerment among local students, preparing them for success in academic, vocational, and life pursuits.
Bridge educational gaps in under-served and under-represented communities
Cultivate a spirit of community engagement and service among students.
The scope of activities of the corporation are:
Students 2nd through 12th grade
Students from either public/private/homeschool

Welcome to the McKinney STEAM Academy Home of Mercenary Robotics. As a 100 volunteerrun nonprofit we are committed to inspiring and equipping 4th through 12th grade public private and homeschool students in our community with skills in science technology engineering art and math STEAM. We also take pride in giving back with our students volunteering thousands of hours and many earning The Presidents Volunteer Service Award. We welcome you to explore our exciting programs including multiple FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams along with FIRST Robotics Competition Team 6369 Mercenary Robotics.
