Operation HOPE - North County serves families with children and single women experiencing homelessness since 2003. Operation HOPE-North County is an emergency shelter for families with children and single women. Operation HOPE-Vista is a 45-bed emergency shelter for families located in North County San Diego. In addition to basic housing services, Operation HOPE-Vista provides intensive support services for clients including individualized goal plans for each client, case management, counseling, life skills classes, parenting classes, and after school tutoring for the children. The program also collaborates with more than 30 local agencies to provide referrals and access to services clients may need. The average stay in the program is 90 days, with more than 50% of clients successfully transitioning to stable housing and independent living.
