Thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Not On Our Watch luncheon — survivors, advocates, donors, and new friends — for an unforgettable afternoon of hope, momentum, and determination. We announced the launch of our statewide Prevention Through Education program, honored the visionaries who built this movement, and heard powerful truths from survivor-leaders like Melanie Thompson, who reminded us that prevention takes a village and that we are that village. If you want to help fuel our work, donate now at the link in our bio or on our website, sign up for our newsletter, or send us an email. We’re excited to continue sharing our evolution! (fb)

We’re excited to welcome Melanie Thompson, a global leader in the fight to end child trafficking and sexual exploitation, as our keynote speaker at this year’s Not On Our Watch luncheon on May 6th! Melanie’s journey is one of strength and resilience. Trafficked at age 12, she was sold into prostitution and later placed into the foster care system. Instead of being defined by these experiences, she became a fierce advocate for justice starting at just 14 years old. Melanie’s story shines a light on the systemic failures that allow child trafficking to thrive — from racial and child welfare inequalities to the gaps in juvenile justice and LGBTQ+ protections. Now a nationally and internationally recognized expert, Melanie has influenced critical policy changes, speaking at the United Nations and before governments worldwide. Her message is clear: We all have a role to play in ending trafficking, and together, we can make a difference. At the luncheon, Melanie will share her story and inspire us to take action. You’ll leave empowered, knowing how you can help create a hopeful, trafficking-free future. Register now to save your seat! https://app.betterunite.com/stolenyouth-notonourwatch2025 (fb)
