West Putnam Volunteer Fire Department Inc
The description and purpose of the West Putnam Volunteer Fire Department Inc (Station 20) is to function to prevent and extinguish fires in the operating district (approximately 62 square miles); to respond to calls for assistance from other fire departments in the surrounding areas; to assist our residents in times of medical or other emergencies; to train volunteers in firefighting and first aid techniques; to maintain firefighting equipment and other emergency equipment and to assist civil defense, law enforcement, county/state authorities during periods of emergency or natural disaster as the governor of this state or other lawful authority shall direct.
