Breaking news: last night, the House Appropriations Committee voted to provide $300M for LSC in FY 2026 — a 46% cut from our current funding. The Senate, on the other hand, approved a $6 million increase earlier this summer. Notably, both chambers rejected the White House’s call to eliminate LSC entirely, demonstrating ongoing strong bipartisan support for civil legal services.
