A Place To Start
A Place to Start provides supportive services & resources to family caregivers & their loved ones living with Alzheimer's A Place to Start is a non-profit organization started with a mission of hope, help and guidance for alzheimer's families in Southern Maine. We help caregivers and families develop specific and individualized care plans for living with the diagnosis of dementia. All of our services are completely free. We also have recently opened A Place to Gather which continue APTS's initial mission, to provide free support and education for Alzheimer's families, while allowing for more community involvement. A Place to Gather is a friendly, safe, and healing environment offering both structured programming, as well as, drop in times enabling families to enjoy our unique space at their leisure.
