Food to Power is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to cultivate, regenerate, and sustain a resilient, equitable food ecosystem in Colorado Springs and El Paso County, CO. We expand community access to fresh, nutritious food and the positive outcomes associated with healthy minds and bodies. Our programming and services are intentionally designed to empower communities by transforming their access to nutritious, culturally-relevant foods and the education needed to joyfully grow, prepare, and consume them.

Food to Power Home Lets grow a thriving equitable food system Need food. Our work focuses in three areas EAT Food Access We directly redistribute surplus healthy foods from places like local supermarkets and cafeterias to healthy neighborhood food access programs we cocreate with people who live there. LEARN Food Education We foster future leaders in food innovation andpromoters of food equity in our community through projectbased youth internships and employment community workshops and events and online experiences. GROW Food Production We support local food production by redistributing healthy produce from overgrown gardens into our grocery programs developing an urban farm at the Hillside Hub and providing composting services for residents and businesses to transform food waste to fertility in the soil.
