COPE of Lebanon - Domestic Violence Shelter & Abuse Prevention COPE Domestic Violence Shelter Agency Lebanon MO Our mission is to aid shelter and empower victims of domestic violence and break the cycle of abuse. In order to break the cycle of abuse we strive to COPE was incorporated in the State of Missouri as a notforprofit corporation in September of 1991. The agencys 501c3 status with the Internal Revenue Service was approved in October of the following year. However COPEs history began years earlier as a grassroots effort among concerned individuals who identified domestic violence as a growing problem in their community.
