The Uprise Books Project

Follow Message Edit

The Uprise Books Projects is dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty through literacy, encouraging underprivileged teens to read by enticing them with banned and challenged books. Our primary targets are teenagers in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho) who qualify for free or reduced price student lunches, or those attending schools in which a large percentage of students qualify. Our secondary mission is to raise awareness of censorship throughout the United States.
