Want to serve as a champion for patients and their families? The UM Health-Sparrow Lansing Patient and Family Advisory Council is always looking for new members. Patients and family members volunteer to share their stories, experiences, opinions and perspectives to help champion initiatives that create more patient-centric programs, operations, services and research. The goal is to improve the safety and quality of patient care. Members serve two-year terms and the time commitment is minimal (about 90 minutes a month, plus a one-day annual retreat). UM Health-Sparrow is experiencing a number of closures and delays due to power outages from last night’s storm. As of 9:30 a.m. Friday, we are without power at our Lansing Health Center, 2909 E. Grand River Ave.; the East Lansing Urgent Care, 2682 E. Grand River Ave.; the Michigan Athletic Club and Health Science Pavilion, among numerous sites.
