FRIENDS of Cliff Asbury
FRIENDS of Cliff Asbury provides financial assistance beyond the scope of traditional scholarships for at-risk, talented high school age students attending Virginia boarding schools. This does not include tuition. This includes those items that at-risk students to not possess which would assist them in fitting into the college-preparatory school environment: clothes, shoes, books, laptops, school trips, athletic uniforms or pizza on a Friday night with friends. This mission also includes a mentor for each child. Because they come from a challenging home, they sometimes need someone to talk -- about anything -- via e-mail, US mail, or face-to-face. Many times, the students seem to cherish this gift of time more than the clothing or other items supplied for their individual needs.
