#WhyDPhiE—Meet Melia from our Delta Sigma Chapter! “When I first considered joining a sorority, I was hesitant. No one in my family had ever been involved in Greek life, and I worried that I wouldn’t fit in. However, I decided to join DPhiE because I wanted to be part of a community that offered new opportunities and the chance to meet new people. Coming from Northern California, my first year at Rider was challenging. I often felt homesick and struggled to find my place. I was even in the process of filling out transfer applications when I decided to give Greek life a chance. I had always wanted to be part of a sisterhood of strong women who uplift one another, and that’s exactly what I found in Deepher. During winter break, when I competed in my most recent pageant, I felt incredible support from my sisters across the country. Every day, I am inspired by the amazing women around me.
