City Garden Montessori School is dedicated to providing high-quality Montessori education to a racially and economically diverse student body. We foster respect for self, others, the environment, and the global community through a sliding-scale model for early childhood education for children aged 3 through 6 and a tuition-free public Montessori charter school for Kindergarten through 8th Grade within the St. Louis Public School District. The school's mission is to redefine education by developing the whole child in an excellent, inclusive Montessori environment; to reimagine community by creating spaces and systems that help restore our collective humanity; and to reinvigorate our world by fostering a culture where individuals and communities thrive without disparities or barriers.

We're investing BIG in our amazing educators by providing free comprehensive #montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) training – a program valued at more than $10,000 per educator. Our City Garden Montessori Institute gives new hires FREE Montessori certification over two summers, right here in our own community. We look forward to welcoming our newest cohort to The Institute later this month.

We kicked off a successful Bike Bus program last month in partnership with St. Louis BWorks. Students were accompanied by BWorks staff and volunteers, meeting at #towergrovepark’s central playground before school and returning to the playground after school for three consecutive Wednesdays in May.
