Wells Depot Museum is a museum and a landmark. THE WELLS HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS COMMITTED TO PRESERVING OUR PAST THAT WE MAY EXPAND OUR KNOWLEDGE IN THE PRESENT AND ILLUMINE THE FUTURE. THERE IS A MUSEUM WHICH OPENED IN 2010 SHOWCASING THE HISTORY OF THE WELLS AREA. THE MUSEUM IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC BUT IS STILL UNDER RENOVATIONS. THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY ALSO MAINTAINS A VETERANS MEMORIAL IN THE CITY OF WELLS MN. THE MEMORIAL HONORS VETERANS OF ALL WARS IN THE COMMUNITIES IN WELLS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Home About Wells Depot Museum The Wells Railroad Depot listed on the National Register of Historic Places and newly restored stands proudly in a city that began as a railroad town. The project to restore the depot took six years. In February 2004 the ICE Railroad contacted the Wells City Development Director with their intent to demolish the 1903 Depot and put up a metal building that would better suit their needs.
