St. John the Baptist Parish was built in 1909 by Fr. Michael Gualco. He knew the church was too large for the needs of 1909 but he was thinking of generations to come in Chico. At St. John the Baptist, we look to connect people to the Lord and one another. As a liturgy-focused community, we believe everything we do is a result from first receiving the grace of the Sacraments. We invite you to take an active part in the Chico Catholic community, which has been worshiping on this ground for over one hundred years.
