RI based Non-Profit. We are committed to increasing Latino college graduates by awarding scholarships that help students pay for college. Non-profit organization dedicated to awarding scholarships to RI Latino students attending college. RI Latino Dollars for Scholars, Inc. (LADO) is a private non-profit organization founded in 1993. Our mission is to expand higher education for Latino students living in Rhode Island by involving and assisting the private sector in the support of these students. LADO also provides encouragement for higher levels of achievement among Latino students. Our goals are to increase Latino representation at the post secondary level and to provide the community with academic and professional role models. Our Board of Directors, Board Members and Scholarship Selection Committee are members of the Rhode Island community who personify our mission of supporting Latino students in their pursuit of higher education.
