We join the global community in welcoming Pope Leo XIV, formerly Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, as the 267th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church. His election marks a historic milestone as he becomes the first American-born pope, bringing with him a wealth of pastoral experience and a commitment to unity and compassion. Pope Leo XIV has dedicated his life to service, including missionary work in Latin America and leadership roles within the Church. His inaugural address emphasized peace, dialogue, and inclusivity, reflecting values that resonate deeply with our mission. As we continue our work to support marginalized communities, we find inspiration in Pope Leo XIV's call for bridge-building and compassion.
