ABOUT US Launched in 2016 the Nashville Teacher Residency NTR recruits and trains diverse passionate and local teacher candidates to become high performing middle and high school math and English teachers serving traditionally underserved communities in Middle Tennessee39s district and charter schools. NTR places Residents in the classrooms of highlyeffective mentor teachers who provide modeling mentoring and coaching as Residents learn to teach by sharing teaching responsibilities in their classroom. At night Residents take rigorous practical and handson classes in pedagogy content and community and culture.
