A common misconception about palliative care is that it is only used for hospice care. While palliative medicine is frequently part of end-of-life care, it can also complement curative treatment for cancer survivors like Nancy. After three years of chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+), Nancy lacked the energy and drive she once had. Nancy describes herself as “type A” and loves to take a holistic approach to her health.
