CALIFORNIANS FOR GREEN NUCLEAR POWER
A non-Profit group of Californians committed to cleaner air and cheaper electricity by increasing the number of Nuclear Power Plants. Californians for Green Nuclear Power, Inc. is an independent, non-profit educational organization which supports the adoption of zero-carbon nuclear energy, in recognition of its essential role in promoting Clean Air. Locally we're dedicated to fighting attempts by California's fossil fuel gas lobby to eliminate nuclear energy in our state, with filings before the California Public Utilities Commission and other state agencies. We engage in public outreach, giving talks to school and environmental groups, and are a proud sponsor of the annual Bay Area March for Science and other public events. A current focus is supporting the continued operation of Diablo Canyon Power Plant, which provides over 10% of California's clean electricity,the and is threatened with shutdown in 2024-2025.
