In-Powered is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that creates life-changing opportunities for those impacted by the school-to-prison pipeline through the transformative practice of yoga. We are committed to offering individualized yoga programs in schools, juvenile justice centers and prisons to create a powerful shift for individuals and their communities. Our primary mission is to partner with schools, juvenile justice groups, and other educational providers to integrate daily yoga and mindfulness-based programs. Our most ideal scenario, first and foremost, includes programs that serve school teachers and leaders with increasing wellbeing and reducing the impact of daily stress. Once teacher programs are established, In-Powered focuses on integrating in-house elective courses for students themselves. Our work and mission is designed around empowering teachers and students to become certified yoga instructors, and to subsequently grow as leaders and teachers within their own communities. In-Powered currently has partnerships with KIPP Houston Public Schools, Yes Prep Public Schools and Houston ISD campuses across the Greater Houston area. We also serve students and teachers in the Katy area.
