The organization was founded in 2011 as a group of SyrianAmericans distributing relief aid on Syria Turkish border encountered a young girl named Maram. She had recently been paralyzed in the shelling of her village and her story of bravery and kindness inspired the organizations name.

يواصل فريق مرام بتقديم الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي للأطفال السوريين وبالتعاون مع فرقة طيور ضمن مبادرة تهدف لتخفيف الضغط النفسي وتعزيز الصمود، وتنمية إمكانياتهم ومهاراتهم الاجتماعية. خلال أسبوع مليء فعاليات مليئة بالأنشطة والتفاعلات الإيجابية، تم تنظيم ورشة عمل ترفيهية في مركز السلام في غازي عنتاب، استضافت الأطفال الأيتام السوريين. تضمنت الورشة العديد من المسابقات التشجيعية والأنشطة الترفيهية، بهدف مساعدة الأطفال على تجاوز الآثار النفسية التي تركتها التجارب الصعبة التي مروا بها، ودعمهم في العودة إلى حياتهم الطبيعية.
