Meet Lauren Murphy: a dedicated nurse who once walked through our doors as a patient. Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at a young age, Lauren's journey through treatment sparked a deep connection to nursing. While she doesn’t remember much of her treatment, she vividly recalls the compassionate nurses who cared for her during follow-up visits, inspiring her to pursue a career in healthcare. She feels as though she was destined to work here! Now, with over seven years of experience as a bedside hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant nurse, Lauren plays a vital role in supporting patients and families. Her personal experience with illness and the support of her own family during her treatment drives her passion to ensure every patient and caregiver feels supported. Lauren's unwavering dedication to her patients is evident in every interaction, from offering a comforting toy to giving parents hope for the future. Lauren’s unique perspective as a former patient brings hope and healing to every family she touches and we are thankful for her. (fb)
