This philosophy encouraged the creation of the Kemper Scholars Program in 1948. The program prepared students for leadership and service in the business world, with a special focus on exploring the insurance industry. Today, The Kemper Foundation’s initiatives are focused on supporting causes and organizations primarily in the areas of education, health and community development.
