Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County (CTKF) provides gently used and new clothing, new socks, new underwear, and new sneakers to kids, K-12th grade, on free and reduced price school lunch program or in crisis, attending school in Fairfield County, in a store setting, twice a year, for free. Each eligible child calls to schedule an hour's appointment with a personal shopper, tries on clothing in a dressing room and receives a week's wardrobe of 5 tops, 4 bottoms, 7 pieces of underwear, 7 pairs of socks, jacket, sneakers. In winter a scarf, hat, gloves and winter jacket and if available, accessories. Kids have an actual shopping experience twice a year. Similar to a department store, CTKF switches clothing inventory pursuant to the seasons...... "changing the world one child at a time".
