We are still reflecting on the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage (St. Katharine Drexel Route) being in our Diocese last week! One major highlight: SIX of our school communities were able to take part in the events! "Jesus said, 'Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" - Matthew 19:14 On Tuesday, May 20, the St. Katharine Drexel Route made a stop at Central Catholic High School where students from Peoria Notre Dame were also in attendance: there was a witness talk from one of the Perpetual Pilgrims as well as Eucharistic Adoration. Then the Pilgrimage stopped at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Blessed Sacrament Catholic School for Eucharistic Adoration. That evening, when the Pilgrimage came to St Mary's Cathedral, the choir from Chesterton Academy of the Sacred Heart provided music during Eucharistic Adoration. On Wednesday, May 21, the Pilgrimage made its way to the Galesburg Catholic Community. Mass was celebrated at Corpus Christi Church and students from Costa Catholic Academy were in attendance. Following the Mass, the Pilgrimage continued westward to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception School for a Eucharistic Procession followed by Eucharistic Adoration.
