Since its launch in August of 2012, AWOW has served over 1,000 families and provided Surf Therapy to over 2,000 children and adults with special needs, alongside their siblings. We constantly strive to enhance and our programs, strengthen our community and provide access to more children in need and their families, while remaining true to our core values— Empowering children with a feeling of pride and accomplishment, as they unlock their inner athlete through the emotional and incredibly transforming experience of surfing.

As summer kicks in and we want to spend time at the beach or ride waves, it’s important to remember those needing help to make those pursuits possible. Our volunteers and sponsors allow us to provide surf therapy for those with unique challenges and provide the kind of support which happily changes lives. Our recent event at Malibu celebrated the resilience of the families we serve, the community we are proudly part of, and the spirit of surfing for all 🤙 ~~~ AWOW.
