Alaska Behavioral Health is a nonprofit organization based in Anchorage, Alaska, dedicated to delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare services to the state's diverse population. Established on June 11, 1974, as Anchorage Community Mental Health Services, Inc. (ACMHS), the organization evolved over the years to better serve the needs of Alaskans, officially rebranding as Alaska Behavioral Health on June 1, 2020.

Initially serving the Anchorage area, Alaska Behavioral Health expanded its reach to Fairbanks and developed specialized programs over the decades. The establishment of the Alaska Child Trauma Center in 2005 marked a significant advancement in trauma-informed care for children and youth across the state.

In 2013, Fairbanks Community Mental Health Services became part of ACMHS, further integrating services and resources. The organization has consistently sought to adapt and expand its services to meet the evolving mental health needs of Alaskans.
