Education Assistance corporation is a nonprofit private corporation designated by the governor of the state of South Dakota to contract with the state educational and cultural affairs planning commission as authorized by section 13-56-1 of South Dakota codified laws to implement the provisions of the guaranteed student loan program for higher education under the provisions of the higher education act of 1965, as amended.
