On this Memorial Day, members at MRVFR cleaned, polished, and updated our own memorial for Connie Bornman. On May 17th, 2004 Middle River Volunteer Ambulance Rescue (MRVAR) Firefighter/EMT Connie Bornman responded to a call, and would later fall to cardiac arrest. Connie was a outstanding member of the MRVAR family. . Known as "Mama Conn" for her motherly role, Connie was the first female Firefighter/EMT from Baltimore County to die in the Line of Duty. Connie C Bornman was 56yrs old, with Middle River for 4yrs but in our thoughts and hearts forever. With new lights, picture frames, and a good cleaning Connie can shine bright on this memorial day. Thank you to all our members who handle this task with due love and care. And happy Memorial Day to those celebrating the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. (fb)
