Home - Neighborhood House Community Center Neighborhood House Community Center Madison039s First Oldest Community Center Home About Neighborhood House In 1916 a UWMadison student wrote an undergraduate thesis proposing the creation of Neighborhood House to meet the needs of the growing Greenbush community. 108 years later Neighborhood House upholds the tradition of being a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds and strives to create opportunities for the greater Madison area. Today Neighborhood House offers a plethora of programs and services including inperson food pantry youth teen summer camps afterschool programs mentoring meeting spaces for community groups organizations wellness and enrichment classes for adults social programming for adults with disabilities technology lab transportation assistance community meals neighborhood events and much more. Mission Our mission is to provide high quality programming and social services that facilitate the growth of a diverse responsible and welcoming community.
