American Composers Forum of Los Angeles Inc
Connecting Composers and Communities for over 40 years. As one of the most innovative non-profit composer service organizations in Los Angeles, ACF-LA is dedicated to supporting composers and the advancement of new musical works in Southern California. Its mission is to provide Southern Californian composers, at all stages of their careers, with valuable resources for professional and artistic development. ACF-LA provides composers new opportunities to perform for audiences in communities where cultural events are rare, and engage audiences in the creation, performance, and enjoyment of their music. By combining communities with composers, the Forum helps develop the next generation of composers, musicians, and performers alike. To this end, ACF-LA has a long history of seeking venues in underprivileged areas, and locating composers of artistic merit and cultural diversity who will most easily engage these communities.
