We have a few fun media projects in the works, one of which is a graphic novella with our partner illustrator, Deanna Ayala! So far our youth have worked on brainstorming their characters and storyboarding. This graphic novella is a part of our Healthy Relationships curriculum to spread awareness about dating violence, communicating consent, and setting boundaries. WISE values using different artistic platforms to encourage self-expression and self-empowerment and has done so through music creation and animation. We are excited to see how our first graphic novella project will turn out! Learn more about the Healthy Relationships Program: https://www.womenofwise.org/healthy-relationships (fb)

UPDATE: We now have a budget to pay art exhibitors. It is very important to us that artists in our community are compensated for the work they do. Exhibitors will be paid $500 for their time. Spots are very limited. Please email us at the email below for inquiries. --- Calling all immigrant/refugee artists! We are looking for artists to exhibit and/or sell their artwork at our upcoming fundraiser, Art for the Resilient Heart: Fundraiser & Silent Art Auction, on May 15th, 6-9PM. As an art-focused event, we want to share the space with folks who also believe in the power of the arts to heal, learn, and strengthen our community. ➡️Please email us at brettinadavis@gmail.com if you are interested or have questions. 🔗Learn more about our fundraiser: Art for the Resilient Heart https://womensinitiative.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MjI5MjA3 (fb)
