Le Dujour H.E.R.O. Village, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 on a mission to provide academic and behavioral interventions to create stronger parents, stronger families. Our aim in providing these wrap around services and psychosocial supports is to holistically nurture at-risk youth, teen parents, parents, and families. The nationally award winning team at Le Dujour have 20 years of experience in Academic Planning, Behavior Modification, Counseling Leadership and Community Outreach. We empower families with new knowledge, beliefs, strategies and skills. Our areas of focus are:Healthier Living workshops help men like James Let Go of drug addiction to Live as a stronger father and husband. Other focus areas include mental illness, disease prevention, HIV and teen pregnancy education, exercise, suicide prevention, and nutrition. Education and Academic Support workshops help youth like Ajaia who, abandoned by her mom, struggled through school feeling the odds were stacked against her. Other focus areas include maximizing potential, STEM integration, improving discipline, and leadership. Relationship Building workshops help people like Janis who was lured into human slavery as a teenager. Other focus areas include child abuse prevention, domestic violence awareness, social etiquette, conflict resolution, and Nurturing Parent interventions. Obtainment Economics provide donated properties to people like Bridget and her 4 kids needing to escape unhealthy relationships. Empowerment activities are also provided to better support families’ long-term goals once shelter needs have been met. Obtaining housing and exposure to information regarding credit education, financial literacy, career development, and entrepreneurship is the primary focus. It takes a village to provide outcomes demonstrating an increase in feelings of safety, self-worth, and self-awareness to develop productive citizens.
