Our mission is to promote membership and community knowledge about astronomy through lectures celestial observing sessions classes and other appropriate means. We host monthly club meetings which are open to the public at no charge at the Christenberry Planetarium on the campus of Samford University. We also host monthly Star Parties at Oak Mountain State Park at which the public can come and learn about the cosmos while looking through many different types of telescopes our members bring as observing and educational tools.
