A Message from Contemporary Art Month In anticipation of continued turbulence both for the nation as well as the State of Texas we at Contemporary Art Month CAM want to reaffirm our belief in the importance of art to a free and civil society. At the top of our mind is the role of art as a method of free expression and social criticism. We suspect that this functionfound largely at the forefront of contemporary artwill be more important than ever. Should any agenda seek to curtail and restrict the contributions of art to a civil society CAM will stand rooted in its mission to advocate support and build coalitions with San Antonio artists and beyond.
