LUCASVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The society's general purpose shall be the promotion and appreciation of historical studies. Of primary focus is research pertaining to the Lucasville, Ohio, area. In specific, but not limited to, the group focuses on preservation, authentication, collection, restoration and education of historical items relating to the Lucasville, Ohio, area. In order to support the mission, the group continues to look for ways to build relationships with local citizens and groups, create publications, encourage storytelling, support placement of historical markers on historical sites, seek real estate for a museum and library, assist with genealogy research, and assist with celebrations, such as the Bicentennial in 2019. Overall, the LAHS is organized expressly for educational and charitable purposes.
