This July, we look forward to honoring the life and legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell during what is nationally recognized as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Bebe Moore Campbell was a celebrated author, journalist, and advocate who dedicated her life to raising awareness around the mental health needs of Black and other underserved communities. As a co-founder of NAMI Urban Los Angeles, she worked closely with NAMI to advance the conversation around culturally competent care, reduce stigma, and advocate for better access to mental health support for all.
