Safe Harbor is a non-profit, all-volunteer network of foster farms in middle Tennessee and south-central Kentucky dedicated to transitioning retired racehorses into new careers and forever homes. Safe Harbor Sanctuary is a 100% volunteer, foster farm-based equine and large-animal rescue in Middle Tennessee. We are passionate about horses and educating and assisting our communities. Founded in 2013 as the only option in the area for both horses and related livestock animals, we are now focused on retraining and rehoming off the track Standardbreds and community outreach programs to improve the welfare of horses and their humans within our region. We are a lifetime safety net rescue for horses and livestock we adopt and we are devoted to making sure Safe Harbor animals get the best possible forever. Animals in our organization are never subject to time limits or age limits.
