Collecting and sharing the stories and artifacts of Bedford, MA and its people. The Bedford Historical Society, Inc. is a private non-profit organization founded in 1893. Our mission is to collect, preserve, restore, and protect objects, artifacts, and archives relevant to the history of Bedford so that present and future generations may learn about and appreciate the culture and values of Bedford's past. The Society's mission is achieved through programs, tours, exhibits and publications. The Society's goal is to establish a History Center to educate and ignite the curiosity and imagination of its visitors.
