Organizing for justice in Kentucky since 1981. We are a community of people, inspired by a Vision, building New Power. Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is a community of people inspired by a vision of a thriving society where people are free from oppression and where racial, economic and environmental justice exists for all. Guided by Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and others directly impacted by oppression, KFTC organizes Kentuckians to dismantle racism, strengthen democracy, and transform the future of our Commonwealth.

KFTC 40th Anniversary Kentuckians Kentuckians ForThe Commonwealth is a community of people inspired by a vision. We believe we can build a Kentucky where all of us can thrive. Here was an organization led not by outside organizers but by local residents addressing problems in their communities. The Beginning 1981 After a year of conversations KFTC was born when 26 people from 12 counties met in Hazard on August 17 1981 and launched the Kentucky Fair Tax Coalition.

Between now and June 3rd, you can drop off items in The Lounge at The The Southgate House Revival We also encourage folks to give to places you can find at bit. ly/Tornado25, as well as continuing to support folks through EKY Mutual Aid The weekend of June 6th we are bringing materials we get to Kentuckians For The Commonwealth main office for the Cumberland Chapter of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth to help share in community. Thank you to Raison D'Etre, Ekknowledge, and the members who are making tomorrow night’s event happen - and to the members who have chipped in with cleanup and support of flood impacted communities.
